  • Who are we?

    Founded in 2006, the iPower Resale Group (formerly known as Macinabox, Inc.) is a small, passionate group specializing in the resale of overstock, open box, refurbished, and used Apple® hardware. We are happy to accommodate any customer, from students buying their first laptop to high-end production companies powering the modern entertainment industry, and every unique customer in between. We endeavor to forge a strong relationship with each of our customers, to help ensure that every customer and every business gets the savings and customer service they deserve.

  • What is “refurbished”?

    Refurbished usually refers to older stock machines that were either returned under warranty for some reason (buyer’s remorse, for example) or that were still in stock when a new generation was released. All of our machines are tested by Apple®-certified technicians, and any faulty hardware is replaced with new or like-new refurbished parts.   • What is our warranty?

    We offer our own warranty on all machines that covers hardware malfunctions. Every sale comes standard with our 90 day warranty, and we also offer a three year extended warranty for $297. You can find more information on our warranty here: Terms and Conditions - Warranty

  • Where do our machines come from?

    Most of our machines have been liquidated from Apple® stock rooms because they are a previous generation of Apple® product. This can include everything from overstock and returns, products that have been discontinued, or in-store demo machines that have been refurbished back to like-new condition. We usually purchase wholesale quantities directly from Apple®, meaning our parts have not been bought one-by-one from private parties.

  • What are our service rates?

    Here at iPower Resale Group we offer in-house data/software and hardware repairs, restorations, upgrades, and service options. For any Mac® purchased from iPower Resale, we offer free data transfer, personal setup, and in-house training. We also happily offer consultations on your new Mac®, including setup (such as iCloud®, email, etc) and information on what will be included in your service. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible for our customers.

  • Basic Rates:
    • Hourly Labor Rate: $99.00
    • On-Site Service: $99.00, 1 hour minimum
    • Diagnostics Fee: $39.00
    • Data Backup, Recovery, & Restore: $99.00
    • iPhone Front and Back Glass Replacement: $99.00
    • iPad Glass Replacement Service: starting at $99.00 (depending on model)
